The SWAS Hockey Sports Program caters for the development and support of South West athletes currently, or identified as, capable of progressing to the highest representative levels of their sport.

The program provides coaching, training, facilities and support services to improve the competitive performance of athletes.

This is a squad-based program and centres on the development, and preparation for state competition, of identified talented players whom it is believed can progress to the state representative level.

The SWAS Hockey program offers a high performance training environment that provides athletes with specialist training that will increase their opportunities of reaching their potential as elite athletes.

The key performance indicators for the SWAS hockey program are:

  • Maximise South West representation in state underage teams (U15, U16 & U18).
  • Maximise the South West contribution to Western Australian performances at national championships.
  • Act as a feeder program into South West Strikers representative side.
  • Act as a feeder and support program into WAIS.
